Aerial Photography:
Helicopter Platform

North Carolina Aerial Photography uses helicopters exclusively for an aerial platform to capture your images. Our dynamic approach to aerial photography will not work with fixed winged aircraft. Helicopters provide a smooth platform that can be positioned on a dime.

In addition to using helicopters we employ GPS units to accurately locate your site, altitude desired and direction. We locate your site prior to the flight and set our equipment. This allows us to be familiar with the site, minimizes flight time and reduces your cost.

Helicopters afford us with the ability in most cases to stop at your location and take you along with us for the flight. Client participation is welcomed.*

Although we use a large variety of helicopters, the Bell 206B-3 and the Robinson Raven II. Known around the world for its ruggedness, reliability and simplicity, the Bell 206B-3 has become the most popular turbine helicopter ever built.

The Raven II is equipped with a fuel-injected, angle-valve, tuned-induction, IO-540 Lycoming engine which produces substantially more power and gives the Raven II greater altitude performance, more payload, and increased speed.

Both helicopters have given outstanding service. Other helicopters are available for special operations and equipment.
* Although clients are welcomed we can not allow clients to bring cameras.
